Christian Walk Today
« on: April 04, 2010, 10:35:38 PM »
Christianity goes beyond the four walls of the church. In a world where Christians are vilified for being overly critical, hypocritical, and overbearing (many times rightfully so). Christian Walk Today is a place to talk about Christianity in the context of where it fits into the modern world. It is a place for believers to express themselves and those searching for answers to understand that Christian life is not a snobbish club. There are Christian athletes, politicians, teachers, and janitor’s and business leaders. Specifically at Christian Walk Today we are focusing on popular culture, business, relationships, and politics. Thank you for coming and welcome.

The goal of this fallen world is to distract your attention away from God as often as humanly possible. Unfortunately, many of our personal relationships play a role in this mass distraction. The ONLY way you will be able to live this life keeping God first is to create and respect boundaries in all of your personal relationships. When you have no boundaries in your life you have no protection. Boundaries are like fences: they keep people and things in your life that you want in, and keep things out that you want out. Many people are afraid to set boundaries because they think they will offend or anger someone. We MUST remember that we are called by God to follow Jesus and walk in wisdom. We are not called or required to let other people dictate to us what we must do in order to keep them happy.

I realize that this is a cut and paste from your web site but it is a subject worth discussing.

Questions that should be answered like:
What boundaries did Christ put around Himself?
Didn't Christ tell us that we would be 'vilified' for His sake and should we not expect and even relish it?

For instructions on dealing with the world turn to the manual - Ephesians 6 The Armor of God
