I am sure that you all heard and read about the Helen Thomas's Israel debacle. It is important that we as Christians do not overreact to this woman's request that all the Jews leave Palestine and go back to Germany, Poland and the United States. I have heard, I don't know if it's true that Helen has their roots back to Lebanon and has held these views for some time. But even so, instead of involving ourselves in name-calling and hateful remarks, we should be doing what Christ would expect any of his followers to do. What is the greatest commandment?
I don't know if Helen Thomas is a Christian or not, and I have no way of judging her heart. I do know that in a situation like this. God will use it to His advantage. Our prayers should be for her soul and her well-being that she may come closer to God's will and know the Lord as we do. So as we were instructed by Christ. Let's pray for our enemies, but someday they may stand beside us. As part of the body.
